MULTI-ME Ltd. Safeguarding Policy

Effective Date: 30.01.2024

At MULTI-ME Ltd., safeguarding vulnerable adults and children is our highest priority. This policy outlines our approach to safeguarding, particularly in the event of a safeguarding concern on our secure social platform. Below is a summary of our Safeguarding Policy in clear terms:

  1. This Safeguarding Policy applies to users of the websites https://multime.com, its subdomains https://my.multime.com, https://www.rixwiki.org, and the Multi Me Mobile App (available on Android and Apple devices).

  2. This policy does not cover other websites, and we are not responsible for the content or policies of external sites accessed via links from our platform.

  3. As a provider of online software and services for vulnerable children and adults, MULTI-ME Ltd. operates under ‘Regulated Activity’ as defined in the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006. We comply with all relevant legislation, including the Keeping Children Safe in Education statutory guidance for schools and colleges and Safeguarding Adults policies.

  4. We apply a strict vetting process to all employees who interact with vulnerable groups, whether through direct teaching or access to user data on our platform. All such employees undergo Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Disclosure checks for children and adults. Proof of these checks can be provided to clients upon request.

  5. In line with the Working Together to Safeguard Children statutory guidance, MULTI-ME Ltd. is committed to working collaboratively with our clients and, where applicable, with Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hubs (MASH). MULTI-ME Ltd. commits to reading and understanding our clients' internal Safeguarding, ICT, and eSafety policies and procedures. We will fully cooperate with them in the event of a safeguarding concern involving users and the Multi Me platform.

  6. MULTI-ME Ltd. supports its clients in developing their own code of conduct for users within their online communities. This includes assigning roles such as administrators, Buddies, and Guardians, as well as defining levels of moderation within their Multi Me community or RIX Wiki software to ensure user safety.

  7. If we become aware of any activity on the Multi Me or RIX Wiki platform that raises safeguarding concerns, we will immediately report it to the client’s designated Safeguarding Officer, or if necessary, to the relevant authorities. This will be done in accordance with legal requirements and safeguarding best practices.

  8. We will only share personal information when legally required to do so, ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  9. While MULTI-ME Ltd. is committed to maintaining the safety of all users on the platform, it is important to acknowledge that no online environment can be guaranteed 100% safe. Users access the platform understanding the associated risks, and we will continue to take all reasonable measures to protect them.
